Asclepias tuberosa

Showy and ostentatious, the upright stems of Asclepias tuberosa are topped with clusters of golden-orange blooms that sport backward sweeping sepals. The butterfly weed is aptly named, attracting crowds of butterflies and bees to its nectar rich blooms throughout summer.
