Picea glauca ‘Barus’
Suitable for rockeries, alpine gardens and dwarf conifer collections, Picea glauca ‘Barus’ is an evergreen conifer that has grey-green needle foliage throughout the year. Growing in a neat, compact dome shape, it can also be planted in rows down the sides of gravel paths. Another possibility is to plant them in a large containers and fill the container with annuals throughout the season. For example; in spring crocues and tulips, summer Petunias and in autumn; winter pansies. Picea glauca ‘Barus’ will add height and greenery to the display. It is a very slow growing plant and will take many years to reach its maximum height. Enjoys a full sun position, but can tolerate partial shade. Height: 150cm (59). Spread: 100cm (39).
