Verbena bonariensis

With Verbena bonariensis the main attraction is the display of clustered cushioned heads of glowing lavender coloured flowers which are produced on top of stiff upright branching stems. Between July and October bees and butterflies are attracted to feed on the nectar adding their presence to the many reasons why perennial verbena is enjoying a resurgence in recent years. The plant is well suited to being teamed with grasses for a tranquil planting scheme or placed at the back of herbaceous borders to give an architectural feel to the display. Height: 120cm (48). Spread: 45cm (18).
